On Saturday January 25th, 2003, friends and neighbors gathered at the Rylander Theatre in Americus to honor Nobel Peace Price Winner President Jimmy Carter. The Plains Better Hometown Program hosted the event with Chair Mill Simmons introducing President Carter as well as other distinguished guest.
Entertainment was provided by the Sentimental Journey Orchestra of Atlanta.
